Right Now

I am chuckling about the fact that my mother recently decided to throw this bottle of shampoo away because "it made my scalp itch". Yes mum - THAT'S BECAUSE IT'S NEARLY 40 YEARS OLD! You've been washing your hair in antique liquid!

I feel a bit mean writing this because she obviously had no idea how long it had been in the house and apparently John had a phase of washing his hair with baby shampoo (the big girl!) in his teens or twenties - but I guess even that phase would have been at least 15 years ago! And as I pointed out to my parents, they haven't sold shampoo in bottles like that since the 70s! If only we could still read that price tag it would almost certainly have a 1/2p on it and possibly be pre-decimal!
